During the lull between Christmas and New Years celebrations we got busy organising and sorting out our home. We find ourselves at a funny stage at the moment because while we are looking to buy a house and always looking for interior inspiration, we haven’t found anything yet despite looking for six months, which isn’t really long I know. But it does leave us in limbo – there are things we want to sort out in our current house but we hold back from buying things because we don’t know if it will suit the next place.
But we both got fed up of looking at toys all over the playroom after about two days at home over the Christmas! The playroom is attached to our kitchen and when we’re at home we spend most of our time in there so we are constantly stepping on Lottie’s shoe or pieces of Lego, which hurts FYI! Truth be told I’d prefer to tackle the issue of clothes storage as my clothes are distributed around a total of 3 bedrooms but I’m holding out for a walk in wardrobe so I’ll put that issue on the long finger for now.So we hit the shops and came back very satisfied with ourselves managed to pick up some really useful bits. A large cube in B&Q to nicely store all the ladies books and puzzles. Some nice, lined wickerbaskets for toilet tolls and my guest bathroom basket which I love and I’m sure my Mammy will love when she lands next.
And since I started writing this post I couldn’t help being drawn into the dreamy world of interiors, I’m really drawn to Scandinavian style interiors, all that white and cleanliness, maybe it’s because we’re so entrenched in pine at the moment, urgh. But my husband loves old style farmhouses so I feel we’ll have a lot of compromising in the future.
Anyway, this post was supposed to be about storage solutions but sure I’m easily distracted and now you all know the type of abode I dream of! Find me on Pinterest where I have probably thousands of these style of pictures saved!
