This time round I’ve found myself wearing dresses far more than anything else. I wonder why on earth I didn’t wear them more the last two times especially given I was sitting at a desk for the vast majority of the nine months. The maternity dresses on Asos have really impressed me – one brand in particular includes the dress in this post from Mamalicious. The minute I put it on I felt good. I’m not usually one for a bodycon dress, my tummy after two babies simply doesn’t allow, but sure there’s no hiding this belly now so I’m rolling with it!
I love the rouching along the edges, I love the length, I love the asymmetrical neckline, I love the sleeves. Can you tell I just love this dress.
There’s just something about dresses that are easy and comfortable, no wasitbands digging into you, no yanking up of toursers (always attractive, always inevitable!). It also means that when you get one its an outfit in itself, there is enough in my day to think about without having to give thought and energy to what I will wear in the day. I also need something that is comfortable for being on the floor with the girls, for the constant bending down (because I drop EVERYTHING when I’m pregnant!) and for the summer to winter months that can be easily transitioned with a pair of tights.
I got this dress in the Asos sale for around €20, of course this particular dress is almost sold out but there are lots of other dresses from the same brand also on sale and to be honest they all look beautifully wearable. There are also lots more dresses to choose from this brand that aren’t on sale and with most in around the €40 mark you can’t go wrong. Thanks to the wonderful Pam who is a fellow blogger at PamsliveloveFashion and a very likeminded friend – she also happens to be extremely talented when it comes to taking pictures, how lucky am I!
It’s lovely Eimear, was just looking at Asos stuff yeaterday. They have some lovely nursing tops too.
I love this! I could hardly find anything that I liked maternity wise with Ted compared to when I was pregnant with Toby. It seemed as though everything had increased in price and the quality was naff, but this looks lovely. Love the colour too and it suits you beautifully. You’re looking good as well mama! xx
They’re lovely dresses! I’ve definitely found Asos the best for maternity so far. Love that stripey one!
