This is probably a post that is suitable all year round given that personalised gifts are great for both Christmas and birthday presents. I do love a special personalised gift, I love coming up with the ideas or creating them and I love getting them. I think there’s an added element of the effort involved that makes it all the nicer receiving a special gift that someone has put thought and effort into getting you.
It was my husband’s birthday recently and I was waiting for inspiration to hit me and when it didn’t I did like any modern woman and I took to Facebook and asked for help. And thank god I did because Cliona of leanmeanmomma.ie came to my rescue with the best suggestion yet – personalised cuff links. We are at that stage in life where weddings are a frequent occasion we happily participate in with gusto and my husband, being the dapper gentleman that he is, always wears a double cuff shirt. I bought these off notonthehigstreet.com, which is home to a huge number of independent businesses and sellers that make everything from prints to jewellery. My only MAJOR gripe with this website is the postage, it cost me €23 to post this little package from England which is insane but it’s not the fault of the seller it appears to be a flat fee dictated by the website.
These cuff links are from Sally Clay Jewellery and I can’t recommend her highly enough, firstly I ordered these less than a WEEK before his birthday and when I subtly let her know I was so last minute she was so obliging and I had these on my desk within 3 days, 2 of those being a weekend! I chose to add different co-ordinates to both, one being the location where our two babies were born and the other being the location of the church we got married in. You can also get writing on the back of the cuff links which will cost you more, the version I got cost me €116, not cheap but it was a significant birthday so I figured he deserved it. The cuff links themselves are sterling silver, stamped and all. The front is brushed so it is a matte effect which I think makes them all the more beautiful. This is certainly something that he will have for a long time, a private reminder of lovely times. Although he will basically have to grow another arm if we have any more children and he get accused of favouritism!

Personalized cufflinks are really good gifts for birthdays as well as for other occasions. As, these come in a wide variety in terms of design and colors. They also come with printed texts on it as you want such as the name of a special person, company and couple, etc. These can also be kept in the form of collectives for longer time to remember your memorable moment.
