The Wonder Garden Book Review

As regular readers of this blog will know, reading is big in our house. Every night our small ladies request a slew of books and we are obviously happily oblige. Although we all tend to favour actual stories at the end of a long day I find increasingly our small lady wants to be involved in the story – incessantly inquisitively asking questions along the way. So when The Wonder Garden popped through the mail box I thought, ah ha, the perfect mix of incredible art, a little bit of story and lots of awe and wonder.

Actually truth be told when it first arrived I couldn’t figure out if the book was meant for me or for the girls such was the absolutely incredible artwork contained in the book. I guess this book is best described as a book for all the family, the perfect coffee table book. Ideal for picking up on winter evenings in front of the fire and letting yourself be transported to the wilds of the Amazon Rainforest to the depths of the Great Barrier Reef.

Truly a fabulous book, probably best for children over the age of 3 or 4, our lady has some interest in it but I think in time it’s something she will thoroughly enjoy picking up and flicking through by herself as the pictures are captivating and colourful.
